GC&E seeks an individual with experience selling physical security equipment and installation services. The qualified candidate will be well versed in CCTV, Access Control Systems, Biometrics, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Low Voltage Wiring. This Security Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new customers, responding to Request for Proposals, and working with our Electrical and Structured Cabling departments on turn- key solutions to customer request(s).
Responsibilities:
- Develop new customers and maintain existing accounts.
- Achieve quarterly revenue targets.
- Attend pre-bid conferences and prepare proposals to our customer RFP and RFQ.
- Work together with other company departments on security proposals for turn -key solutions.
- Attend and assist in marketing tradeshows representing the security department.
- Conduct site surveys as necessary.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have 5 years experience with security systems and solutions.
- Extensive experience with IP CCTV systems.
- Experience with Card Access Systems and IDS.
- Current alarm or access control certifications a plus.
- Prefer college degree.
- Candidate must have excellent oral and written skills to prepare customer proposals.
- Candidate must have good computer skills in MS Office, Visio and understanding of IP networks.
- Must have good driving record; pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Candidate should have basic estimating skills for security and the ability to read blue prints and take notes at pre-bid conferences.
- Willingness and ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
Overnight travel is required about 10% of the time in the Southeast.
Former military and/or government sales a plus.
Previous manufacturer experience or certifications with: Arecont Vision, Axis, Bosch, OnSSI, Pelco, Sony and UTC Fire & Security are a plus.
