Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is an agency of the US federal government and a part of the United States Departments of Health and Human Services. The CDC, headquartered near Atlanta, Georgia, focuses on the prevention of diseases and the promotion of health through research and through investigation of disease clusters and outbreaks.
