As a Senior Network Support Technician on Fort Bragg, you will:

  • Ensure Utility locating requests are entered into the work order system.
  • Locate and mark buried communication cable IAW Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) and industry standards. Ensure marking are clearly visible from a distance of 30 feet; no permanent enamel spray paint will be used for marking of cables. Markings for proposed excavation areas shall be in accordance with the requestor’s drawings
  • Prior to leaving worksite, the Contractor Utility locating personnel shall sign the excavation permit to document and acknowledge that Utility locator personnel have properly located cables and mitigated potential risks using industry standard markings. The Contractor shall take a time stamped picture of the marked area as a reference document associated with the excavation permit.
  • File a copy of the excavation permit within one business day in the appropriate monthly folder and download pictures of located areas to the appropriate file in the electronic folder corresponding to the locate ticket number.
  • Direct all emergency locate request to the Army Enterprise Service Desk (AESD).

  • WLAN architecture installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Copper and Fiber installation and testing
  • VoIP instrument (programming, installation, troubleshooting, repair and replacement), all applicable test equipment, EMT or HOLOCOM PDS, SIPRNET, and NIPRNET
  • American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)/Electronics Industry Alliance (EIA) Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards, National Electrical Code, and IEEE (802.3, 802.5 and 802.11) standards
  • I3A Standards
  • COOP and OPLAN Support Services
  • MS Office Suite
  • SharePoint
  • Remedy

Candidate Requirements:

  • SECRET Clearance with Tier 3 Investigation
  • 8570.01-M IAT-II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE)
  • Computing Environment Certification (ex: JNCIA-Junos (JN0-103) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • BICSI Fiber and Copper Installer 1 & 2
  • ITIL V4 Foundation (minimum) trained
  • Threat Awareness and Reporting Program (TARP) Training
  • Intelligence Oversight (IO) training
  • DOD Cyber Awareness training
  • Acceptable Use Policies (AUP)
  • Antiterrorism Level I Training
  • iWATCH Training
  • Level 1 OPSEC Training
  • Customer Service Training
